February: Carnival, light and the little festival
February stacks three festivities: Santa Eulàlia, the city's old patron, with fire runs and human towers; Llum BCN, turning Poblenou into a contemporary light museum; and Carnival, lived above all in the neighborhoods.
Santa Eulàlia, around the 12th
The city's winter festival: giants through the old town, a night correfoc and human towers in the square. Fewer tourists than La Mercè with the same traditional material.
Llum BCN
Three February nights when light artists transform Poblenou's courtyards and facades: free, contemporary, and the streets full of people looking up.
Carnival by neighborhood
The city carnival lives in its neighborhoods: parade and costume dances in Sants, Gràcia or the Raval, with the carnival sausage and Shrove Thursday omelette as backdrop.
